"What Services are Offered at Your Home?"

Here at Lake House, you can expect to receive services such as:

-- Fully furnished semi private/private rooms with either a dresser, armoire, or walk-in closet. Fully furnished means we have a bed for you, rugs and decor, full bed linens such as comforters and sheets, pillows, blankets, lamps, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels and wash cloths, laundry soap and all other comforts of home. We also want our residents to have a bit of their own home, so bringing in a favorite chair, or maybe some pictures of the family is always welcome and can be accommodated. Two of the available rooms even have en suite bathrooms!

--Access to common areas. With 3130 square feet of home, don't worry about feeling crowded. We have an activities room filled with games and puzzles, coloring books, word searches, and a lovely view of downtown. Our living room has a 55 inch TV for resident use, leather furniture, a dining room table that seats 8, a laundry room, kitchen with a breakfast nook and island, and a full wrap around front porch with chairs and tables to enjoy our fall days. We also have a park right across the street and Tamarack lake is a short walk away at the end of the road.

--A safe 24/7/365 monitored environment. This means your loved one wont have the risk of living alone anymore. We know the dangers associated with falling or even wondering about the safety of your loved one alone. Here we have alarmed doors, as well as 24/7/365 supervision and help. If your loved one needs us, we are available and willing to help. We are CPR/first aid certified and Kelsey hospital is just across the street. We are also background checked and fingerprinted by the state of Michigan.

--Assistance with personal care and hygiene from trained individuals. Maybe you just need help with shoes and socks, or maybe you need help with bathing or dressing, or cues as to when to change a brief or clothing, and here we will help you with all of it, as you need us to.

--Housekeeping services. We will make sure rooms and common areas are clean, sanitary, and free from clutter that may pose a health threat to your loved one. Dishes will always be done, clothes will always be washed, and bathrooms will safe for your loved one to use, as they need help for their individual skill levels.

--Nutritious, organic meals. We understand that getting groceries and cooking meals can be difficult with age, and ever changing needs of an elderly or changing body. We partner with Serendipity Acres, a local CSA (community supported agriculture) who provides us with organic fruits and vegetables for your loved one. We don't just feed them three nutritious meals and two snacks a day, but meals where we know the land where its grown on. Admittedly, we do have sweets and treats from time to time as well! We will always cater to your loved ones specific dietary needs.

--Medication management. I've seen it far too often where mom or dad end up in the hospital from either not managing their medications correctly, or taking too much or forgetting to take medications. For some, getting to the pharmacy can be a struggle. Here, we have a pharmacy who delivers our medications and all med passes are done by people trained in medication management and tracked electronically on our MAR, medication administration record. This ensures all medications are handled correctly, and medications are always available.

--Community Connection and enriching activities. We want our residents to still feel like a part of something larger than themselves and be a part of our community, and here at Lake House we strive to plan and coordinate fun activities and outings to make that happen. Trips to the store and local shops are weekly forms of fun, and festivals abound here in our quaint little town, as well as music in the park during the summer, and events at our local library.

--All the amenities. Here at Lake House, we want our residents to have all the comforts of home. We have a new a/c/heating system in BOTH the upper and lower levels of the home, which run independent of each other to make sure our environment is comfortable. We have a premium cable package, wireless internet, and a landline phone for resident use-- all included in our affordable price.

--Love and support. We aren't just another home. Here at Lake House, we LIVE in our home, and we want to treat your loved one like another part of our family.
